Gardar Gislason, MD
Gardar Gislason, MDDr. Gislason received his graduate degree from the University of Iceland in 1986, and has completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has been with Digestive Care Center since 1998. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology. In addition to providing consultative gastroenterology care, he specializes in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, therapeutic endoscopy (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and treatment of liver disease. Dr. Gislason is involved in many professional societies including: American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Donald M. Bailey, MD
Donald M. Bailey, MDDr. Bailey received his graduate degree from Southern Illinois University in 1994, and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arkansas in 2000. He has been with Digestive Care Center since 2000. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology. In addition to providing consultative gastroenterology care, he specializes in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and treatment of liver disease. Vajravel M. Prasad, MD
Vajravel M. Prasad, MDDr. Prasad received his graduate degree from the University of Madras in 1991. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. He completed his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1999. He has been with Digestive Care Center since 2003. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology and also holds Texas, Michigan and Indiana State Medical Licenses. In addition to providing consultative gastroenterology and hepatology care, he specializes in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, colon cancer screening, acid reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Dr. Prasad is a Volunteer Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Gastroenterological Association.

Michael B. Rusche, MDDr. Rusche received his graduate degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1999, and completed his fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2006. He has been with Digestive Care Center since 2006. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology. In addition to providing consultative gastroenterology care, he specializes in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and treatment of liver disease. Dr. Rusche was born and raised in Evansville, and attended Memorial High School. He currently lives in Evansville with his family.

Ahmed S. Khan, MD
Ahmed S. Khan, MDDr. Khan received his graduate degree from the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan in 1995, and completed fellowships at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in Harlem Hospital Center in NYC in 2003 and advanced endoscopy fellowship at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX in 2010. He has been with Digestive Care Center since May of 2011. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine- Gastroenterology and also holds Indiana and Texas State Medical Licenses. In addition to providing consultative gastroenterology care, he specializes in colonoscopy, upper endoscopy therapeutic endoscopy (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and treatment of liver disease. Chad E. He was Chief Medical Resident for internal medicine at Geisinger Medical Center. Dr. Potteiger has completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and nutrition at Geisinger Medical Center. Konstantin Boroda, MD
Konstantin Boroda, MDDr. Boroda completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center in 2020. He is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Boroda treats a wide range of gastroenterological and liver diseases. He performs several procedures including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, esophageal manometry, and ambulatory pH studies. Dr. Boroda is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.

Peter Airel, MD
Peter Airel, MDDr. Airel comes to us with an extensive and distinguished military background, after completing his MD at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and Graduate Medical Education Gastroenterology Fellowship at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr. Airel served in the United States Air Force in numerous capacities but most notably as a Flight Surgeon, Deputy Chief of Medical Staff, acting Chief of Aerospace Medicine, and staff Gastroenterologist. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology. Among other military honors, Dr. Airel received the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal twice.

Katie Luigs, ACNP
Katie Luigs, ACNPKatie Luigs is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Digestive Care Center. She is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of digestive diseases by using lab tests, imaging and procedures to identify the source of the problem. Then she works with the patient to determine the best treatment plan. Whether a patient has a life-threatening illness or a problem that can easily be treated, Katie’s end goal is always the same – do whatever she can to help her patients feel better. Katie grew up in Washington, and now lives in Evansville. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and trying out new restaurants.
